Pedagogical Contents

2.1. Teaching methods

Teaching method in TAU Lab School used by teacher is using expository (Teacher Center), but sometimes teacher gives the students chance to explain their understanding about the material too. Teacher always can make their students interest with the material because they use very interesting powerpoint as teaching tools and they explains about the materials very clear and simple and also very easy to understand too. The teacher sometimes make some jokes for the students if the students feels boring. In the class, the teacher provides set of problem in the middle of the lesson to check the students  understanding and of course every students have chance to answer or gives solutions for the problem that set by the teacher.

 In my observations day, I notice that the teacher like to created quite and calm atmosphere in the class, to make the students more focus and easy to understand the materials.

2.2.  Learning Materials and Innovation

Learning Materials in K-12 for "Earth and Life Science" subject,  the first Semester is part of "Earth Science" like Universe and the solar system, Earth Subsystems, the In ternal Structure of the Earth, Minerals and Rocks, Exogenic Processes, Endogenic Processes, Deformation of the Crust , History of the Earth, Natural Hazards, Mitigation and Adaptation ,Hydrometeorological Phenomena and Hazards, Hydrometeorological Phenomena, Marine and Coastal Processes and their Effects. In the second Semester is part of "Life Science" like Bioenergetics, Perpetuation of Life, How Animals Survive, Plant Form and Function and Plant Growth and Development, Evolution, Interaction and Interdependence.

For innovation of learning, the teacher using expository (Teacher Center). But the problem is not all of the students give good attentions and active in the class, so to overcome the problem I used innovations by using one of the cooperative teaching method which is Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) to make all of the students give good attentions and active in the class.

2.3. Source of learning and technology

Source of learning is using by book, internet and Quipper Applications. The technology that used on the teaching used a video,  simple game like a “Fact or Fake” Slide by using teacher laptop and also the LCD Display in front of the class.

 2.4. Authentic Assessment

Authentic assessment that used by the teacher is based on quiz on Quipper applications. student activeness on the class, and also student mid semester evaluation result, and also by using the teacher quiz.
